Abatron LiquidWood Epoxy Wood Consolidant

LiquidWood is a deep penetrating wood consolidant that regenerates and waterproofs rotted, dried-out, or spongy wood.  Its low viscosity allows it to penetrate deep into wood and saturate decayed and weathered wood fibers prior to hardening.  After deteriorated wood is hardened and consolidated with LiquidWood, WoodEpox epoxy putty is commonly used to fill and replace missing wood.

LiquidWood is a two-component liquid structural epoxy wood hardener and consolidant for decayed and deteriorated wood that produces permanent results.

Uses:  LiquidWood is ideal for regenerating and waterproofing rotted, dried-out or spongy window sills, thresholds, window and door frames, columns, stair steps, balustrades, floors, capitals, moldings, doors, shutters, indoor and outdoor furniture, archaeological and art restoration, boats, and millwork of all kinds.   LiquidWood is also used as a primer or thinner for WoodEpox

Features and Benefits:  LiquidWood epoxy wood consolidant is easy to use and produces permanent results.  Its low viscosity allows it to penetrate deep into wood and saturate deteriorated wood fibers prior to hardening.  This eliminates the need to remove the areas that can be effectively consolidated.   With LiquidWood, deteriorated wood that could crumble under finger pressure can be restored to structural, high-strength, durable, weather and insect-resistant wood.  The absence of water and solvents eliminates shrinkage and enhances adhesion.  It is low odor and produces virtually zero VOCs, making it safe and hazard-free in any environment.  Treated wood will harden within hours, and like new wood, can easily be sawed, planed, drilled, nailed, painted, routed, and sanded.  Cold weather formulation is available for application temperatures as low as 35° F.  100% compatible with WoodEpox.

Application Guide:

LiquidWood consists of two clear, epoxy liquids: resin (A) and hardener (B).  When A and B are mixed together in equal volumes, by simple stirring, a blend is formed with unique properties to impregnate and restore wood and other porous masses.  Apply by brushing, pouring, or injecting directly onto dry, bare wood.  Hardens within hours depending on temperature and other environmental factors.  100% epoxy solids.  Waterproof.   Application temperature: 50-90° F.  1:1 ratio of resin (A) and hardener (B).  Approximately 30 minute pot life.
