Lifeline Advance works just like the clear-coat on your car to protect the finish underneath. It extends the life of the finish system while adding depth and highlights to the appearance. It also makes exterior walls easier to clean.
Lifeline Advance is formulated to provide additional water repellency while still maintaining the breathability that is so necessary for your logs. Lifeline Advance is the second component in Perma-Chink’s exterior wall finish system that includes a limited warranty when used with Lifeline Ultra-2 or Lifeline Ultra-7. Lifeline Advance is non-yellowing, and provides mold and mildew protection for your logs.
Application Guide:
Where to use: Exterior – For use over Lifeline Exterior, Ultra-2, Ultra-7, or Accents stains
Stain type: Water-based
Sheen: Gloss or Satin
Coats: 1 coat initially; 1 coat 36 months later; then only as required
Surface prep: Clean and dry; free of mold and mildew; never use steel wool
Application temperature: 40°F to 90°F
Application method: Airless sprayer or brush; back-brushing required
Clean up: If wet: Soap and water
If dried: Soften with alcohol or mineral spirits; then soap and water
Drying time: Dry to the touch in 2-4 hours; cures in 72 hours
Coverage: Smooth surfaces: 600-800 sq. ft. per gallon
Rough surfaces: 500-700 sq. ft. per gallon
Coverage depends on porosity of wood
